There are thousands upon thousands of people all looking to the Internet as a means of providing an income or augmenting their existing income. The problem faced by over 95% of them is that they will fail to make any money at all, mainly because they failed to locate the necessary information that would allow them to do that, or they found misleading or downright wrong information that led them astray. This is a situation that does not have to be, but trying to help people top make money online is not an easy one.

Why should this be?

Most people come to the Internet with pre-conceived ideas on how they can make money from it. Those ideas are generally flawed at best or incorrect at worst and despite what those of us who are making a good living from the internet try to tell them, they ignore us and follow their own path, often with disastrous results. Worse still, they follow an A-lister.

An A-lister is an Internet marketer who in general terms makes money from a variety of methods online. The majority of that income is generated by selling products and services to newcomers to the world of Internet marketing, but most of those products and services will not help the newcomer and they end up spending a lot of money for no return. It is a harsh lesson to learn, but this is a harsh business we are in.

Not all of us claim to be A-listers. I certainly don’t. I don’t pimp crappy products or services to newcomers that I know will do them no good, because there is no need. There are other ways to make good money online without ripping off newcomers.

I follow the path that allows me to make a great income online while keeping my conscience clean. In this blog, I will reveal my own methods of making money from the Internet and how you can also follow them to do so for yourself. That is, of course, if you choose to listen and learn.

Part of the process of improving the overall authority of your main, money making website is to use search engine optimization tactics such as link building to achieve greater site authority as well as better SERP rankings in the main search engine Google. This is where the bulk of your money making traffic is going to come from, so you need to put most of your energy into promoting your site in this way.

One of the better ways of getting your own links to your site is by using article directories to post your articles to that contain a link back to your site. Unfortunately, while this method was very good for a number of years, recent algorithm changes to the Google indexing process has devalued links coming from article directories. But that does not necessarily mean that these directories are completely useless.

What they can be used for is to boost a site’s link profile by using what are sometimes called “crappy links”. These are links that have little value for direct keyword ranking, but they do help by bulking out the percentage of links that don’t directly anchor on keywords, thereby increasing the variety of a site’s link profile. This is still important for avoiding sandboxing or indexing penalties that come from obtaining too many links with keyword anchors.

So don’t be too selective of what you use as links when blasting your spun articles around all the places that you can find in this article directory list as well as others. use anchors like “click here” as well as bare urls to really increase that link profile variety. Also, link to as many deep pages in your site as you can.

You’ll be surprised at how much more value you will be giving to your “real” links that do anchor your keywords that you want to rank for!

Welcome back to Welcome to Make Money. In this post I want to take a brief look at working from home and running a home based business using the Internet as your primary source of income. At first glance, this may sound like an excellent idea as there are many benefits to be had from working at home. But there are also many pitfalls that you should be aware of before you go jump in head first to a way of making money that can just as easily fail.

The first thing that you should learn to do is to become immune to all the hyped up ads and promises that many so called experts will be falling over each other to jam into your face. They will “prove” that if you follow their teachings, you can make money just as easily as they do and then they’ll claim to be able to make several thousands of dollars in a week or two.

Well, steer well clear, because the vast majority of them are lying and the ones that are actually telling the truth have been in this business for several years and have built up a sufficiently large following to whom they can sell this or that latest must have new product for a considerable profit to themselves. If you tried to emulate them, you would be lucky to make even a single sale. The claims may be claimed as real but they won’t tell you that while they make several thousands of dollars in a week, you will have to spend the next few years working like a dog to get to their level.

The next thing you should know is that there is no such thing as easy money, at least not in the beginning. It will takes several months to see any decent income and that’ll only happen if you do everything right and don’t make any mistakes along the way. It’ll also take a huge amount of work on your behalf. So if you’re prepared to work seven days a week for upwards of 12 or more hours a day, then you stand a chance of succeeding in this business.

Next, while you may spend 12 hours a day, seven days a week glued to your computer, you will have to spend that time working and not wasting it chatting with other well meaning but similarly starving Internet marketers in all the social forums and other meeting places where all the wannabe’s will congregate to talk about their desires, wants, achievements and failures. You’ll want to justify spending time there as part of your learning curve, and in the beginning you will need to learn from others, for sure. But by far the vast majority of people that seem to perpetually hang out in those forums are losers and failures who do not make money online as they may claim. How do I know this?

Because if they’re spending all their time in forums talking about it, they’re not doing it! They’re all talking the talk, but they ain’t walking the walk!

Just beware of these time sapping things and focus on getting your work done before you think about spending time socializing! So there’s some pointers to watch out for if you are considering staring out with a work at home based business. Its not all bad, because you can make a living at this business. You just need to know how to do it the right way and to have the determination and tenacity to work hard and see it through.
